Sedation Dentistry in Indianapolis, IN

sdsMany people dread the dentist’s chair, and their very real fears prevent them from obtaining the dental care they need. But it doesn’t have to be that way!

We want our patients to be as comfortable as possible when they are in our office, so we were one of the first offices to adopt technologies to minimize pain and fear while providing the best possible clinical results. From licensed and certified IV sedation and computerized local anesthetics to nearly pain-free laser-assisted dentistry, Keystone Dentistry makes your comfort a top priority.

Local Anesthetics Delivered by Computer – A comfortable option, the Wand ensures precise monitoring and delivery of anesthetics for pain relief.

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas) – With an instant on and off and minimal after effects, nitrous oxide is ideal for very young patients or those who need to drive or go back to work after a procedure.

Oral Sedation – For patients with very strong fears, oral sedation offers deeper relaxation and greater sedation for less awareness.

Intravenous (I.V.) Sedation – This technique helps patients with dental phobias get the care they need, and makes it possible for us to perform even complicated dental surgery right in our office. IV sedation will immediately begin to soothe you to the point where you won’t even feel worried about your upcoming procedure, before helping you drift to sleep. Patients will spend the rest of the procedure drifting in and out of sleep.

IV sedation essentially uses as little medication as necessary to relax you so your dental surgeon can complete a full treatment in your mouth promptly and efficiently, it is very safe. In fact, it’s even safer than oral sedation. Plus, dentists can administer a sedative antidote into your IV at any time to reverse the sedative’s effects instantly.
