Teeth Whitening

It’s hard to imagine anything more appealing than a sparkling, white smile. Our professional whitening services work faster, and protect sensitive gums and tooth-root surfaces better, than over-the-counter products. We offer in-office whitening for immediate results, and take-home whitening for your convenience. Keep your smile bright and beautiful for years!

In-Office Whitening
This technique offers fast and effective results. Dr. KinneyLearn more about our dentist begins by isolating your teeth with a gum shield. He then applies a special whitening gel, which produces results in about an hour.

Take-Home Whitening
This is a professional whitening system you can do at home! When you visit us, we’ll take a mold of your teeth, and then two thin, flexible plastic mouth trays will be custom-made for you. In the comfort of your own home, you can fill the trays with whitening gel and then position the trays over your teeth. Gradually, your teeth will whiten and stains will disappear.

Six Month Smiles®

This can be an ideal option for adults with crooked, spaced, or misaligned teeth because of the short treatment time (six months on average!). It combines the latest digital technology with the experience of Dr. Kinney, making it an effective orthodontic solution. Plus, it can also be less expensive than traditional aligning options!

Six Month Smiles® works in a very similar way as traditional braces. The clear brackets gently push teeth into the desired position over time. To begin, Dr. Kinney will examine you, take x-rays, intraoral and facial photographs, and then send impressions of your teeth to Six Month Smiles®. The company will send us a patient tray kit. This kit contains the wires, ligatures, and clear brackets positioned and set in bonding trays.

Once created, Dr. Kinney will ask you to come back for a second appointment to have your brackets bonded. Unlike traditional braces, you’ll have fewer recurring visits to adjust your wires and ligatures.

Porcelain Veneers

If your teeth could use improvement of color, shape, and alignment, porcelain veneers could be just what you’re looking for.

A veneer is a wafer-thin layer of super-strong porcelain that convincingly substitutes for natural tooth enamel. When bonded to your teeth, veneers can create a natural-looking, beautiful new surface. The results are sure to make you smile!

This procedure involves preparing your teeth by removing a small amount of enamel. Then, molds of your teeth will be taken and used by a skilled dental laboratory (or our in-house CEREC® machineLearn more about CEREC) to create your veneers. In some cases, you may need temporary veneers while the lab creates your permanent restorations. When the veneers are ready, Dr. KinneyLearn more about our cosmetic dentist checks them and ensures they fit your needs and expectations. He will then bond them into place so you can enjoy a beautiful smile.

Cosmetic Bonding

Cosmetic bonding uses tooth-colored materials to replace missing tooth structure. It can also hide unappealing defects on the surface of a tooth. A composite resin, in a matching shade, is applied to your tooth and hardened with a special curing light. Then it is shaped to match your other teeth. This procedure can usually be accomplished in a single visit.

Laser Dentistry

Laser dentistry can be used for treating gum disease, detecting cancer, and pinpointing tooth decay in its early stages. Laser treatment is a minimally invasive procedure, taking away less tissue than conventional methods, which results in less bleeding and pain.

A laser is more accurate in the amount of material removed and eliminates the noise and vibration you get from a dental drill. This makes the procedure more comfortable and the results more precise.

Lasers may also be used for several cosmetic procedures, including teeth whitening, setting restorative materials, and gum contouring.

Botox®

When you hear cosmetic dentistry, you might think of Botox®Opens a new window to the Botox website. It is known as a popular cosmetic treatment used to smooth out facial wrinkles, but it can do more than just that. It can be used to relax muscles in the face and jaw for pain relief and to rejuvenate the skin around your smile for a more youthful look. It is applied via injection, making it less invasive, and results can last about three to four months.

Dr. Kinney is trained in the delivery of Botox® and can add vigor to your natural smile.
